We have links with many of the local pubs & restaurants that specialise in local food. Glen Tress cycle tracks are within 45mins, whilst wonderful walks: along the Tweed, the Teviot or up a hill, are even closer. The historic Abbeys in Jedburgh, Dryburgh, Melrose, Kelso, and the beautiful Adam-designed Mellerstain House are within minutes, as is the amazing Abbotsford, home to Sir Walter Scott, finder of the Crown Jewels of Scotland, the man who persuaded George IV to legalise tartan after his visit to Scotland, Sir Walter Scott was author of Rob Roy and Westward Ho! to name a few. Avisit Kelso and Melrose, or even a trip over to the coastal villages of the Berwickshire coast.  Edinburgh is only an hour away; either take the car or use the new Borders Railway from Tweedbank.
